[NOV. 24, 2004]  Warden Larry Sims and Dave Kaesebier, president of AFSCME Local 2073 at Logan Correctional Center, teamed up to sponsor a food drive for the needy again this year.

Employees at the medium-security facility outside Lincoln brought in nonperishable food items for about a month, and the items were delivered to the Lincoln-Logan Food Pantry on Tuesday, just before Thanksgiving. Correctional center employees donated over 100 pounds of food items for those in need.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Logan's management and union have teamed up for the good of the community.
