[DEC. 3, 2004]  The Fibromyalgia Comfort Group formed in November at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital will have its second meeting at noon Wednesday, Dec. 8, in the ALMH basement, Conference Room A. Attendees may bring lunch or come a few minutes early and buy lunch in the hospital cafeteria.

ALMH registered dietician Jennifer DiPasquale will attend this meeting to answer nutrition and diet questions. Other topics of interest have been identified by the group members, and speakers will be scheduled for many of the future meetings as well.

The group plans to continue meeting on the second Wednesday of each month at noon.  Please call ALMH at (217) 732-2161, ext. 405, with questions.

Fibromyalgia syndrome is a widespread musculoskeletal pain and fatigue disorder for which the cause is still unknown. Fibromyalgia means pain in the muscles, ligaments and tendons -- the soft fibrous tissues in the body. More women than men are afflicted with the syndrome, and it shows up in people of all ages.
