Zion Lutheran School geography bee     Send a link to a friend

[DEC. 21, 2004]  Josh Kastendick, a seventh-grader at Zion Lutheran School in Lincoln, won the school-level competition of the National Geographic Bee on Dec. 15.

Also participating were Brittany Rogers, Scott Carnahan, Trevor Arrington, Brandon Miller, Ben Rekart, Matthew Schierer and Alec Broughton.

The school-level bee was the first round in the 17th annual National Geographic Bee, sponsored by the National Geographic Society. Josh will take the state-level qualifying test in January with the possibility of advancing to the national finals in Washington, D.C.
