Olympia FFA Alumni Auction

The Olympia FFA Alumni Chapter
is requesting public support of the Olympia FFA Chapter by attending
the second annual Olympia FFA Alumni Auction on Jan. 7, 2005, at
5:30 p.m. in the Olympia Middle School cafeteria. All members of the
community are welcome to attend.

Items in the auction to date include
tickets to local professional sports events and team memorabilia;
gift certificates to local merchants; Terry Redlin prints; various
agricultural supplies, including seed corn and beans; outerwear; and
toy tractors.
Last year the alumni group raised
more than $6,000 to support the Olympia chapter. With the funds
raised, the alumni were able to award $2,000 in scholarships to
Olympia FFA members for their efforts in career development events,
supervised agricultural experience projects and leadership.
This year the alumni group is hoping
to build on the moneys raised and reward Olympia FFA members for
their scholastic hard work by offering financial support to attend
the State FFA Leadership Camp and Washington Leadership Conference.
Funds will also be used to support the purchase of FFA jackets for
Greenhand members.
