2004 State Farm Holiday Classic    

[DEC. 29, 2004]  Six Logan County teams claimed five wins on Tuesday (Dec. 28), the second day of the State Farm Holiday Classic in Bloomington-Normal.

Dec. 28 results

Boys

Class A

• Mount Pulaski won over Rochester 68-63.

• Hartsburg-Emden lost to Normal U-High 57-27.

• Stanford Olympia won over CPCI 58-40.

Class AA

• Lincoln won over Tinley Park 51-40.

Lincoln stole the ball three times in the final 45 seconds of the first quarter. The Railers were then able to maintain their lead the rest of the way.

Tinley Park Andrew was troubled by turnovers and had problems with Lincoln's pressure defense in the first half. TPA came back with some pressure of their own in the second half but could not overcome the deficit.

Girls

Class A

• Stanford Olympia narrowly won over Mendota 50-49.

Class AA

• Lincoln won over East Peoria 62-38.
