LCHS speech results at home tourney   

[FEB. 2, 2004]  The final weekend of the regular speech season found the Lincoln Community High School team at home for their "Show Us Your True Colors" tournament. Lincoln did not compete as a team but placed many individual students in the final round.

Tournament champions for Lincoln included Doug Rohrer and Brandon Davis in dramatic duet acting, Audrey Beach in radio, and Tom Swanson in prose.

Other varsity finalists included Lindsey Boerma, second in humorous interpretation; Boerma and Rohrer, second in humorous duet; Kathryn Muck, sixth in dramatic interpretation; Miranda Merriman, sixth in impromptu; Erica Brickey, third in declamation and fifth in verse, Brian Welter, second in radio and original comedy; Sonya Twist, fifth in declamation; and Rachel Hahn, sixth in original comedy.

This weekend the speech team will again be home for the regional tournament. The community is invited to attend the "Meet the Regional Team" night on Thursday (Feb. 5) at 6:30 in the high school auditorium. Or, come out on Saturday to see this talented team.
