[DEC. 20, 2003]  Lincoln Christian College and Seminary is the recipient of a $100,000 grant from the Lilly Endowment Inc. of Indianapolis for its WorldviewEyes youth program. The program began in 1999 and receives its primary funding from the endowment, which has now awarded four grants totaling over $916,000 to develop and sustain the program.

WorldviewEyes is a program designed to help teenagers develop a Christian mind and interact effectively with non-Christian worldviews and their own culture. It produces and offers multimedia presentations for conventions, conferences and churches. Over 50,000 people have attended a WorldviewEyes presentation nationwide. The program offers four weeklong summer seminars in Lincoln, Chicago, New Hampshire and Colorado for high school youth.

The program is directed by Dr. Rich Knopp, professor of philosophy and Christian apologetics at Lincoln Christian College and Seminary.

Speakers for WorldviewEyes include Dr. John Castelein, Rondel Ramsey, Greg Taylor, Dr. Robert Douglas and Dr. Rich Knopp, all of Lincoln Christian College and Seminary; Tracy Thomas of Lincoln Christian Church; and Shane Taylor, former campus minister at the University of Illinois.

The program also provides website resources and Internet classes at www.worldvieweyes.org, and it will be publishing a Christian youth curriculum on worldviews.
