FFA Section 14 proficiency awards     Send a link to a friend

[FEB. 16, 2004]  The Hartsburg-Emden FFA chapter came away with nine first-place winners at the Section 14 proficiency awards contest Feb. 4.

The Hartem winners are Kory Leesman in agriculture mechanics, Krista Ubbenga in agriculture sales, Matt Wrage in turf grass management, Nic Alberts in diversified crop production, Alyssa Moehring in safety, Brittney Kavanaugh in equine science, Kyle Hoerbert in sheep production, Nathan Charron in outdoor recreation and Blaine Hellman in swine production.

The proficiency awards are based on how well students keep records on their supervised agricultural experience program, which every FFA member is required to have.

The winners will advance to the district contest in Jacksonville on March 10.
