[JAN. 9, 2004]  On Monday, Jan. 12, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. there will be a program about historic homes and how to research your home's history. "Follow the Information Trail" will be presented in the Pegram Room at the Lincoln Public Library.

Various speakers will explain where and how to find resources about local properties and how to interpret that information. Much of the information can be found right in the library. Details such as interpretation of old maps and addresses of lots will be shared.

The Lincoln Historic Homes and Buildings Commission has an award program in which homes and buildings that meet specific criteria may qualify for a plaque. The display of the beautiful plaques -- along with state programs, Looking for Lincoln and other tourism projects -- will help enhance our community's effort to build historic tourism.

Come see how to research your property or one that you may wish to buy.
