The Lincoln Community High
School speech team competed this weekend at the largest speech
tournament in the state of Illinois. Four events advanced to the
semifinals, including Audrey Beach in radio, Kathryn Muck in
dramatic interpretation, Brian Welter in original comedy, and
Lindsey Boerma and Doug Rohrer in humorous duet. The presentation
by Rohrer and Boerma finished in a tie for second in the
tournament.
This Saturday, Jan. 31, the community
is invited to see these students compete at the Lincoln
Tournament.
On
Thursday, Feb. 5, there will be a "Meet the Regional Team" event
at 6:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Everyone is invited to
attend.
