The Lynx handed Spoon River
their 12th loss of the season on Wednesday night. The Lynx had a
nine-point lead at the half and continued by scoring 37 points in
the second half to bring the final score to 68-62.
The Lynx had a balanced scoring
attack. Rueben Trotter led the team with 12 points and nine
rebounds, while Ryan Lazzarini with 10 points was the only other
player in double figures.
The victory improves the Lynx
record to 9-10. Spoon River drops to 9-12 for the season.
The Lynx take on Lincoln Land
Community College at home on Saturday.

Sophomore Erica Ernst helped
the Lynx defeat Spoon River at home Wednesday night by a final score
of 82-71. Ernst totaled 19 points for the night and pulled down 20
rebounds.
At the half the Lynx had a
comfortable 13-point lead. They held off Spoon River by scoring 40
points in the second half.
Three other players were in
double scoring figures. Nicole Dearing scored 15 while teammate
Kanisha Pettis had 13. Freshman Brittany Ingram rounded out the lead
scorers with 11 points.
This victory improves the Lynx
to 6-14 for the season.
