[JULY 3, 2004]  RENO, Nev. -- The International Virtual Assistants Association has announced its third annual summit. The Virtual Assistants' Best Practices Conference will be Oct. 20-22 at the Marriott Chicago Downtown.

The Chicago summit is an opportunity for all professional virtual assistants to come together to learn how to operate their businesses more smoothly, serve their clients more efficiently and promote the industry itself through their own work as virtual assistants.

The conference will cover topics such as marketing and public relations, pricing, business identity, time management, education and credentials, and more. There will be a brown-bag lunch with round-table discussions each day, as well as evening entertainment and vendor exhibits throughout the conference.

A virtual assistant is an independent entrepreneur providing administrative, creative or technical services. Using advanced technological modes of communication and data delivery, professional virtual assistants work from their own offices on a contractual basis to help clients in their area of expertise.
