George Lolling
George R. Lolling, 88, formerly of
Hartsburg, died Saturday (July 10, 2004) at 7:20 p.m. at Vonderleith
Living Center, Mount Pulaski.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m.
Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hartsburg, with the Rev.
David Russell officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m.
Tuesday at the church and one hour before the service on Wednesday.
Burial will be in Zion Cemetery,
Lincoln.
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home is
handling arrangements.
Mr. Lolling was a retired farmer and
Hartsburg-Emden school bus driver.
He was born May 29, 1916, at Hartsburg
to Simon and Katie Klockenga Lolling. He married Dorothy Martinie on
May 3, 1941, in Bowling Green, Mo. She died Oct. 31, 1985. He
married Florence Klokkenga on Aug. 8, 1987, in Hartsburg. She died
in 2000.
He is survived by two daughters, Nancy
(and Tim) Rohlfs of Mackinaw and Sandi Wilcox of Hartsburg; two
sons, Rudy Klokkenga of Bloomington and Ron (and Vicky) Klokkenga of
Lincoln; one brother, Rudy (and Esther) Lolling of Mount Pulaski;
five grandchildren, Jon (and Janet) Wilcox of Marquette Heights,
Marc Wilcox of Kent, Wash., Kimberly (and J.R.) Eskew of Hartsburg,
Derek (and Rebecca) Rohlfs of Naperville and Craig Rohlfs of Peoria;
and six great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one
daughter.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran
Church in Hartsburg.

Leota Stivers
Leota H. Stivers, 91, of Mount Pulaski
died Sunday (July 11, 2004) at 3:30 a.m. at Vonderlieth Living
Center.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday
at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski, with John
Robertson officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the
service.
Burial will be in Hall Cemetery, rural
Blue Mound.
Mrs. Stivers was a homemaker.
She was born Oct. 16, 1912, in Macon
County to Albert and Grace Reazin Gemmer. She married Herbert F.
Stivers in Champaign on Aug. 24, 1949. He died Jan. 28, 1994.
She is survived by one stepson, Richard
(and Karen) Stivers of Bloomington; one stepdaughter, Linda (and
Roger) Thomas of Fountain Valley, Calif.; one sister, Shirley
Wehling of Pleasant Hills, Ohio; seven stepgrandchildren, Karen
Thomas, Laura Thomas, John Thomas, Debra Kus, Nancy Lucero, Brad
Stivers and Christopher Chester; six step-great-grandchildren, Mitzi
Payton, Emily Brown, Natalie Mullins, John Brown II, Nikko Stivers
and Spiro Stivers; and one step-great-great-grandchild, Michael Ray
Stotts.
She was also preceded in death by three
sisters, Helen Ryan, Irene Skaggs and Opal Brown.
She was a member of Mount Pulaski
Christian Church, the Loyal Daughters of the church and the Mount
Pulaski Woman's Club.
