Fighting Illini host seven-game home schedule at Memorial Stadium

[JUNE 2, 2004]  The University of Illinois Division of Intercollegiate Athletics began single-game football ticket sales today (Wednesday) at 9 a.m. Fans can purchase main stand, balcony and horseshoe tickets for any of the seven home games scheduled for this fall at Memorial Stadium.

Single-game tickets cost $35 apiece for main stand and balcony seats for six of the seven home games, with Oct. 16 Michigan game main stand and balcony tickets priced at $40 each. Horseshoe tickets for all seven home games are $17 each. Illinois football single-game ticket prices remain among the most economical in the Big Ten Conference.

Illinois hosts seven games at Memorial Stadium for the first time in school history, welcoming four consecutive home games in September -- Sept. 4 versus Florida A&M, Sept. 11 versus UCLA, Sept. 18 versus Western Michigan and Sept. 25 versus Purdue; two October home dates -- Oct. 16 versus Michigan and Oct. 30 versus Iowa; and a Nov. 6 date with Indiana. All game times are yet to be announced.

Fans can purchase single-game football tickets by phone toll-free at (866) Illini-1, online at www.fightingillini.com or in person at the athletic box office at the Assembly Hall. The ticket office is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Season football tickets have been on sale since March 8, with nearly 90 percent of season ticket holders renewing their seats for the 2004 season. A seven-game season football ticket costs $208 and includes the 2005 Orange and Blue spring game.
