[JUNE 2, 2004]  The Oasis, Logan County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County senior citizens, regardless of membership.

Bingo

Maple Ridge is the sponsor for bingo on Thursday, starting at 1 p.m. Join all your friends for an afternoon of fun, games and snacks.

Computer class space available

There are still seats available for the computer basics class June 7-11, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Call 732-6132 for a reservation. The donation fee is $15 for members and $18 for nonmembers.

S.H.I.P. assistance and Medicare Rx program

Appointments are available each Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. for assistance with your health insurance issues and the Medicare drug program application.

Veterans

The VA representative will be on-site Tuesday, June 8, from 9 a.m. to noon to provide assistance.

Tuesday lunch, 11:30 a.m.

Pick up your $3.50 lunch ticket by noon Monday for the Tuesday meal of beef stroganoff and noodles, salad, drink, and dessert.

Helen Cart and Eleanor Barton won weekday pinochle honors. Jean Cypher won on the weekend.
