Eastside volleyball for seventh- to 12th-grade players
This summer the annual Eastside
Volleyball Club High School Volleyball League for incoming
seventh-graders to incoming 12th-graders will start on July 6 and
run until July 31. The activity will consist of two practices a
week, two tournaments and the Exposure Classic. Teams will be slated
when all of the registrations are complete. Registration forms are
available at www.eastsidevb.com
under the "Summer Volleyball" link. Forms must be completed and
submitted by June 29. The cost for each participant is $60. The form
can also be faxed back to (309) 210-0713.
Summer
volleyball tournaments
The Adidas Volleyball Classic and the
Power Volleyball Tournament will have divisions for competition,
consisting of junior high (13U-14U), high school JV and varsity high
school levels. The Power Tournament will have varsity and JV
divisions only, with a limit of 24 teams. Both tournaments will be
at Eastside Centre. The Adidas Volleyball Classic will run July
9-11, and the Power Volleyball Tournament will be July 30-31.
Participating teams each weekend will be guaranteed six to eight
matches. The cost per team will be $275 for the Adidas Volleyball
Classic and $225 for the Power Volleyball Tournament.
Pepsi
Cola Exposure Classic
The Eastside Volleyball Club is hosting
its second annual Pepsi Cola High School Girls Volleyball Exposure
Classic July 24-25, with practice sessions July 24. This event is to
showcase the talents of high-caliber high school volleyball players
who have aspirations of competing at a higher level. The players
will be divided into "Futures" and "Prospects" groups, depending on
age. The event is open to any incoming high school freshman to
incoming high school senior player. The cost for participation is
$25 per player to offset uniform, officiating and facility expenses.
This weekend feature will present a great opportunity for collegiate
coaches to see future athletes and start the recruiting process.

 Pepsi
Cola Girls High School Volleyball All Star Classic
The Eastside Volleyball Club is
currently working on plans for the sixth annual Pepsi Cola Girls
Volleyball All Star Classic for graduating senior girls. This year's
event is scheduled for Dec. 4-5, and nominations will be accepted
from Sept. 1 until Nov. 25. During
last year's event, over 335 girls participated and there was
representation from over 125 collegiate coaches from several states.
Eastside Volleyball Club will need cooperation from schools, clubs
and coaches in nominating and affording their players the
opportunity to compete with some of the best players throughout the
Midwest. Coaches are also needed to volunteer by expressing an
interest in coaching one of the teams. People interested in becoming
