National Lutheran Schools Week       Send a link to a friend

[MARCH 8, 2004]  Thirty-five presenters will share their expertise in subjects ranging from Ukrainian egg dyeing to small engines at the biannual Hobbies and Careers Fair at Zion Lutheran School on Monday. Students from kindergarten through eighth grade will attend sessions based on their interests.

The fair is the kickoff for National Lutheran Schools Week at Zion March 7-14. Other activities include goofy games on Tuesday, a tae kwon do demonstration Wednesday, and the school history fair and a kindergarten open house on Thursday. The week wraps up with a special worship service at Zion Lutheran Church on Sunday.

Zion joins hundreds of other Lutheran schools across the country celebrating the special week, with the theme "Lutheran Schools: A Great Place to Grow -- Grow in the Grace and Knowledge of Jesus."
