Museum announces summer hours     Send a link to a friend

[MARCH 26, 2004]  The Heritage-in-Flight Museum at the Logan County Airport has announced summer hours for 2004. Beginning April 7 the museum will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The museum will be open from noon until 4 p.m. on Sundays. It will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Individuals and groups interested in viewing the museum or arranging for a tour at other hours may do so by calling in advance.

Visitors can come to the airport anytime to view the outside static displays. Numerous vintage military aircraft and vehicles with informational placards surround the museum. Come see what it's like to stand next to a U.S. Navy A-7 fighter jet or view the cockpit of a Huey helicopter.

The museum is dedicated to aerospace education and the preservation of military aviation memorabilia.

There is no admission fee. Donations are accepted and can be used as a tax deduction.

The phone number of the Heritage-in-Flight Museum is (217) 732-3333.
