Zion Lutheran state track participants and medalists

[MAY 25, 2004]  Eleven track and field participants from Zion Lutheran School in Lincoln participated in the Lutheran Sports Association State Track Meet at Concordia University in River Forest. Zion had two medal winners at the state meet.

Participants

Zion's state qualifiers were (front row) Adam Hickey, Amanda Podbelsek, Sara Rossetti, Peter Ayars; (second row) Andy Brown, Scott Carnahan; (third row) Jenna Opperman, Hailey Cooper, Todd Schumacher; (top row) Lauren May and Sabra Boyd.

Medal winners

Sara Rossetti (left) took third place in the discus throw. Amanda Podbelsek (right) won the second-place medal in the 100-meter hurdles and fifth place in the long jump. Both girls are eighth-grade students at Zion Lutheran.
