'Home for the Holidays' this Saturday and Sunday

Downtown Lincoln merchants offer special holiday shopping experience

[NOV. 5, 2004]  Lincoln merchants are hosting a special weekend of shopping to kick off your holidays. "Home for the Holidays" features in-house specials, delectable goodies, door prizes and something you can't package -- plenty of holiday spirit at participating businesses.

Both shoppers and merchants have enjoyed this weekend tremendously in the past. The relaxed, festive atmosphere helps everyone get a jump on the season before pressures begin to build. Shoppers feel good about getting a few things crossed off their list and getting special deals to boot.

Horse-drawn carriage rides around the square will once again set the scene. And musicians in the streets warm the brisk outdoors with holiday tunes.

Be sure to find the time to come downtown this Saturday and Sunday and get in on this wonderful experience both shoppers and merchants have raved about in the past. It's a time you will remember.
