SPRINGFIELD -- Green View
is proud to announce that it was awarded a Distinction Award for
Hortica, The Florist Mutual Insurance Company, in the 35th annual
Environmental Improvement Awards Program sponsored by the Associated
Landscape Contractors of America.

Hortica is located in Edwardsville.
Since it is the first corporate headquarters in Green View's
self-owned development, the landscape design is intended to be a
flagship of quality landscaping for future developments. The design
also needed to incorporate an opportunity for Hortica's employees to
experience quality design and horticultural elements as a reminder
of what and whom their company represents on a daily basis. Hortica
also intended for the design to afford educational opportunities,
not only on a local level but regionally and nationally as well.
Finally, in another important consideration, the client requested a
design that would soften the large parking expanses and transition
areas without affecting extensive security camera sight lines.

"It
has always been Green View's approach to employ exceptionally
talented landscape architects and designers, as all award-winning
projects begin with the design," said Thomas Hoerr Sr., chief
executive officer of Green View Companies. "In addition, Green View
has some of the top skilled craftsmen in the area to execute these
designs. When you combine the two areas of expertise, the results
consistently win national awards, as we have for the past decade."
Green View Companies is a multifaceted firm operating throughout
the state of Illinois with landscape design/build, installation,
maintenance, production facilities and five retail centers. For more
