LINCOLN -- Marie Becker, 79, of Lincoln, died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at 9:52 a.m. at St. Clara's Manor.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with a prayer service at 9 a.m.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Church, with the Rev. R. Anthony Lee officiating.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mrs. Becker had been a secretary for Lansing News Agency in Lansing.

She was born Dec. 8, 1924, in Dedham, Iowa, to Joseph and Elizabeth Rahm Bueltel. She married William Becker on May 6, 1950, in Chicago. He died Feb. 26, 2002.

She is survived by one daughter, Judy Alberts of Lincoln; one son, William (and Dawn) Becker of Sullivan; four grandsons, Timothy Alberts of Lexington Park, Md., Allen Becker of Champaign, and Nathan and Ryan Becker of Sullivan; one granddaughter, Melissa Alberts of Saffern, N.Y.; one brother, Tony (and Norma) Bueltel of Omaha, Neb.; and two sisters, Loretta (and Jo) Hebrank of Largo, Fla., and Josephine Tilton, Sacramento, Calif.

She was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

She was a member of Holy Family Church and the Columbian Ladies.

She had been a leader for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.

Memorials may be made to the American Arthritis Foundation.

LINCOLN -- The Rev. Laurie Alan Tockey, 50, of Lincoln, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at 11:40 a.m. of injuries sustained in an auto accident at Clayton.

His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John United Church in Lincoln, with the Rev. Richard Reinwald officiating. Visitation will be at the church, 204 Seventh St., from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday and one hour before the service on Monday.

Burial will be at a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

The Rev. Tockey was chaplain at Lincoln Correctional Center for 20 years. He was formerly a chaplain at Centralia Correctional Institute.

He was born Oct. 29, 1954, in Englewood, Calif., to Tag and Leona Seibert Tockey. He married Suzanne Schippel on Dec. 20, 1986, in Centralia.

He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; two sons, Malachi and Silas, both at home; his mother, Leona Tockey of Freemont, Calif.; one brother, Bryan Tockey of San Jose, Calif.; one sister, Ms. Leslie Tockey of Freemont, Calif.; six nephews; five nieces; one great-niece; and one great-nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Tom and Brad.

He was a member of St. John United Church.

He attended Prescott College in Prescott, Ariz., and graduated from Evergreen State College in Olympia, Wash. He received his master's degree from Chicago Theological Seminary.

He was past president of the Illinois Chaplains Association and was head of the United Church of Christ Prison Ministry Network.

Memorials may be made to the Mom and Me Camp of Lincoln Correctional Center or to St. John United Church.
