[NOV. 24, 2004]  The Oasis, Logan County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County senior citizens, regardless of membership.

Tuesday lunch

The 11:30 lunch on Nov. 30 will feature baked fish, potatoes, carrots, bread and butter, dessert, and a soft drink for only $3.75. Ticket purchase deadline is noon Monday, Nov. 29.

Legal aid appointments available

Appointments for legal aid are available between 9 a.m. and noon Nov. 30 for people who meet age and income guidelines. Appointments can be made by calling the senior center, 732-6132 or 732-5844.

Hearing screening set for Dec. 1

The Oasis will have free hearing checks, by appointment, between 10 a.m. and noon Dec. 1. Call the senior center to make an appointment.

Winners announced

Christine March was the weekday winner for pinochle. The weekend winners were Marjorie Reiners, Bernie DePuy, Joann Eckert and Esther Will.
