[OCT. 1, 2004]  Lincoln College offers a journey through American history with a fall trip open to the general public. Highlights include narration by private local guides at the Gettysburg National Military Park as well as Colonial Williamsburg. Shopping at Merchants Square and meals at the historic Dobbin House and James Shields Tavern are included in the itinerary. The trip is scheduled to depart on Oct. 18 and return Oct. 23. Reservations will be taken until Oct. 4.

Debbie Ackerman, Lincoln College executive director of alumni relations and trip coordinator, says this trip offers insight into American history. "Local guides will provide the tour group with stories and legends that will bring the area's rich history and heritage to life,” she said. “We will also get to enjoy the scenic beauty with a drive through the Blue Ridge Mountains."

For additional information, contact Ackerman at Lincoln College at 732-3155, ext. 217, or dackerman@lincolncollege.com.
