Immanuel Lutheran Church hosts inspirational concert Oct. 15

[OCT. 2, 2004]  Dave and Barb Anderson are coming to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lincoln for a concert on Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. This inspirational concert is sponsored by Immanuel, with additional funding provided by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

Throughout 24 years of ministry, the Andersons have touched audiences around the world with sincerity and warmth.

In 1993, God miraculously rescued the Andersons from a plane crash into the icy waters of the Bering Sea off the coast of Nome, Alaska. They were returning from a humanitarian and Christian ministry mission in the Russian Far East. This miracle of God has changed their lives, their ministry and will touch your life as well as you hear them share during the evening.

Their music is a blend of contemporary, gospel and traditional. Their purpose is to give you a "lift" and focus your attention on the awesome God who loves you and is capable of rescuing you from the difficult circumstances in your life.

Accompanying Dave and Barb Anderson is pianist Dale Pust from Minneapolis, Minn. Dave, Barb and Dale have presented hundreds of concerts together in America, Australia and Asia.

According to the host pastor, Dan Wissmann, the community is invited to attend. A freewill offering will be received. For more information about the concert, call Immanuel Lutheran Church at 732-6777. Immanuel is a one-level, handicapped-accessible facility, located at 1409 Pulaski St.

You won't want to miss this outstanding event! Mark your calendar and bring your family and friends for an evening of encouragement, hope and joy.
