[OCT. 6, 2004]  The Oasis, Logan County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County senior citizens, regardless of membership.

Bingo

Join us at 1 p.m. Thursday for bingo, sponsored this week by Maple Ridge. There will be fun, prizes and surprises.

Relaxation techniques

If you missed last month's session on relaxation, we invite you to join us on Oct. 15 at 2 p.m. to learn the best way for seniors to try these specialized techniques. This date has been changed from Oct. 8. Please note the date change on your calendars. No reservation necessary.

Holiday closing

The Oasis will be closed Monday, Oct. 11, for Columbus Day. Regular activities will start at 9 a.m. Oct. 12.

Winner announced

Bernie Haley won pinochle honors during the week, with Lucky Eichner and Les Van Bibber winning on the weekend. The rummy winner was Ann Greger.
