The fall play this year at Lincoln Community
High School is Michael Frayn's "Noises Off." It is a hilarious three-act
farce about life in the theater. It features a two-story set that has to
revolve at intermissions, giving the audience a true behind-the-scenes view
at the life in theater.

Directed by Jennifer Keith, the play is
about a group of traveling actors putting on a play called "Nothing
On." The first act shows the final rehearsal of the play before
opening night. During Act 2, the set will spin to show what goes on
backstage during a performance in Cleveland. Act 3, seen from the
front again, concludes the show with a performance where all things
that can go wrong do go wrong.
Most of the cast members end up playing
two different characters and have to perfect British accents as
well. In the cast are seniors Patrick Perry as Frederick and Philip;
Tom Swanson as Lloyd; Brady Gerdts as Garry and Roger; Brian Welter
as Tim; Brandon Davis as Seldsdon; Kassandra Pepperell as Dotty and
Mrs. Clackett; and Kathryn Muck as Belinda and Flavia. Rounding out
the nine-person cast are juniors Lindsey Boerma as Brooke and Vicki
and Rachel Kasa as Poppy.

Assisting in the directing are
seniors Rachel Hahn and James Cosby and junior Amy Schumacher, among
many others.
The three performances will be
Thursday, Oct. 14, at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 16, at 7:30 p.m.;
and Sunday, Oct. 17 at 2 p.m. There will be no show on the Friday
night due to a football game.
Tickets for the show are available
at the door at $4 for adults and $3 for students and senior
citizens.
It is not a show to miss. If you
need a laugh, honestly, here's the place to get at least a dozen
full-belly laughs.
