Men's Red-White Scrimmage canceled     Send a link to a friend

[OCT. 28, 2004]  NORMAL -- Another injury hit head coach Porter Moser's camp Tuesday night, forcing the second-year head coach to cancel the annual Red-White Scrimmage, originally scheduled for tonight (Thursday).

Junior college transfer Nedu Onyeuku is listed as day-to-day with a mild Achilles' tendon strain in his left foot. Onyeuku's injury, coupled with Khalif Ford's stress fracture earlier in the week, put Moser in a tough position based on his team's numbers.

The Redbirds will play their first and only exhibition game on Wednesday, Nov. 3, against Missouri-St. Louis. Tipoff is slated for 7:05 p.m.
