turkey supper

SAN JOSE -- The San Jose United
Methodist Women are cooking up their annual turkey supper and a
bazaar for Nov. 3. Events will take place in the church fellowship
hall, 600 S. First St. Booths open at 3:30 p.m., and supper will be
served from 4 till 7 p.m.

The menu features turkey, mashed
potatoes and gravy, dressing, corn and green beans, salad, dessert
and drink. Carryouts will be available.
Booths at the bazaar will features
homemade pies, cookies, bread and other baked goods; honey; homemade
candies, such as Lucy's award-winning caramels, truffles, peanut
butter balls, peanut brittle and more; Rada cutlery, cookbooks and
hand-woven rugs; crafts, including a large variety of gifts in a
jar, gift mugs and bags, and homemade ornaments; and items made by
the children enrolled in the after-school Bible Zone program.
The church is handicapped-accessible
and the event is open to the public.
