LINCOLN -- James Dennis Booth Sr., 62, of Lincoln died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004, at 1:04 p.m. at his home.

His funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Tom Gerdts officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service.

Burial will be in Richmond Grove Cemetery, rural New Holland, at a later date.

Mr. Booth retired from General Telephone Co. after 18 years as a lineman. He was a technician at Lincoln Developmental Center for five years.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

He was born Sept. 11, 1942, in Chicago to John V. and Alma M. Crumpler Booth.

He is survived by four sons, James D. (and Erin) Booth Jr. of Greenview, Brandon W. (and Jessica) Booth of Morton, Mark D. (and Amy) Booth of Pekin and Michael P. Booth of Streator; one daughter, Marcy (and Tim) Smith of Emden; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one brother, Ronald Booth of Marion.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John.

He was a member of American Legion Post 672 in Middletown, a life member of VFW, a 25-year member of 40 and 8, a 10-year member of Moose Lodge 1441 in Lincoln, a member of the Illinois Sheriffs' Association, a life member of the North American Fishing Club and a 40-year member of the National Rifle Association.

Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association or to the donor's choice.

MOUNT PULASKI -- Donald L. Munyon Sr., 68, of Alma, formerly of Stone Park, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004, at 5:21 a.m. at Salem Community Hospital, Salem.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski. His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Bill Shanle officiating.

Burial will be in Steenbergen Cemetery.

Mr. Munyon was a machinist at International Harvester in Melrose Park before he retired.

He was born March 30, 1936, in Pennsylvania to Clyde and Helen McAfee Munyon.

He is survived by three daughters, Cathy (and Roger) Best of Chandler, Ariz., Donna Munyon of Kileen, Texas, and Susan (and Michael) O'Herron of Chicago; four sons, Robert Munyon of Chicago, David Munyon, Michael (and Judy) Munyon of Ashton and Donald Munyon Jr. of Poplar Grove; three grandchildren; one brother, Clyde (and Sandra) Munyon of Alma; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

BEASON -- Howard K. Keys, 87, of Beason died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, at 3:11 a.m. at St. Clara's Manor in Lincoln.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Beason United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jame Hahs officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service.

Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery, Beason.

Mr. Keys was a farmer.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1941 to 1945 during World War II.

He was born Aug. 12, 1917, at Beason to A. Harold and May Kirby Keys. He married Elinor L. Morrison on Sept. 3, 1942, in Denver, Colo.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mary Etta Johnson of San Bernadino, Calif., Rebecca May Blake of Mount Airy, N.C., and Joan Louise Moxon of Littleton, Colo.; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Anne Johnson of Riverton, Calif., Emily Jennifer Johnson Padilla of San Bernadino, Calif., Betsy, Brittany and Bethany Black of Mount Airy, N.C., and Tara and Justin Moxon of Littleton, Colo.; and one sister, Frances Keys Gustafson of St. Charles.

One grandchild, Bonnie Blake, preceded him in death.

He was very active in the Soil and Water Conservation District and was a Boy Scout leader for many years. He served on the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital board of trustees from 1964 to 1970 and was Courier Man of the Month in April 1971.

He was a member of the Beason United Methodist Church and was a Sunday school teacher for a number of years, as well as holding various positions in the church.
