[OCT. 30, 2004]  The Lincoln Junior Woman's Club and the Lincoln Public Library District announce that the library will serve as a designated recycling site for the disposal of used cell phones. Anyone may drop off his or her used cell phone at the library annex building, directly behind the Carnegie building at 725 Pekin St.

The library earns money for every cell phone returned, and all proceeds will be used to purchase new books for the adult and children's collections.

This project is sponsored by the Lincoln Junior Woman's Club as a service to the people of Lincoln and the public library.

For more information, visit the library or call 732-8878. The library regrets that it is unable to make pickups of used cell phones.
