SPRINGFIELD -- He is one of
the largest inflatable Halloween attractions in the world and the first of
his kind in the United States. Springfield is the first stop on The
Beast's Halloween tour, and he is there now through Sunday.

Imagine being swallowed by a
150-foot-long, 40-foot-wide, 25-foot-high creature. Entering
the beast takes you on one of the most exciting journeys through the
inner workings of a giant creature. When you journey into the belly
of The Beast, that is exactly what happens.
You enter by walking through his large,
gaping jaws, wind your way down the throat section and enter his
chest cavity with his enormous beating heart and air-filled lungs.
You are then "digested" into his stomach and through his massive
intestines. With a burst of air your journey ends at, well, the
other end.
After 7:30 p.m. The Beast becomes a
heart-stopping, thrill-at-every-corner, intense attraction for teens
and adults (evening attraction may not be appropriate for young
children). With his dark interior, fog, strobe lights, beastly
noises and pre-digested workers, he has been known to scare even the
bravest of men. But don't be fooled! The Beast also has his gentler
side for the family.
During the day he can be made
"family-friendly" (at the flip of a switch), and with the lights on
and some of the scary stuff turned off, The Beast can be used as an
amazing, wonderful educational tour.
