ATLANTA -- Bernice Leesman, 89, of
Atlanta died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, at 12:35 p.m. at OSF
St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8
p.m. Monday at Quiram Funeral Home, Atlanta. Her funeral will
be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Andy Glass
officiating.
Burial will be in Atlanta
Cemetery.
Mrs. Leesman was a homemaker and
retired from the Lincoln Garment Factory.
She was born Nov. 29, 1914, at
rural Broadwell to Nicholas and Hannah Musick Amberg.
She is survived by seven
children, Raymond (and Irma) Leesman of Harrison, Ark., Roger
(and Erma Jane) Leesman of Armington, Russell (and Geraldine)
Leesman of Atlanta, Frances Nollman of Atlanta, Stanley (and
Kathy) Leesman of Millstadt, Sandra (and Michael) Beck of
Atlanta and Connie (and Dale) Tammeus of Armington; 13
grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one
great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by five
brothers and three sisters.
Memorial contributions may be
made to the Atlanta Fire Department or the Armington Rescue
Squad.

SPRINGFIELD -- Patty Ann
Gallagher, 50, formerly of Emden, died Thursday, Sept. 16,
2004, at 2:50 p.m. in her home in Springfield.
A graveside service was at 10:30
a.m. Monday at Bethel Cemetery, rural Emden.
Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln
was in charge of arrangements.
She was born Feb. 23, 1954, in
Lincoln to James and Marie Garber Gallagher.
Ms. Gallagher is survived by her
mother, Marie Gallagher of Emden, and her daughter, Charolette
Gallagher of Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her
father and her brother, Ronald Groth.
Memorials may be made to the
family for her daughter's education fund.

LINCOLN -- Mary Ella Alvey, 88,
formerly of Lincoln, died Aug. 27, 2004, at the Dammert Center
in Belleville.
A memorial service will be at 11
a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at Trinity Episcopal Church in
Lincoln, with Father James Cravens officiating.
Burial will be in Atlanta
Cemetery, Atlanta.
Mrs. Alvey was a schoolteacher.
She was born Oct. 29, 1915, at
Genoa to Carl and Jennette Chestnut Bevan. She married Thomas
W. Alvey on Jan. 7, 1939. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons,
Thomas W. Alvey Jr., of Belleville and Bevan B. Alvey of
Lincoln, Neb.; one daughter, Jennette Alvey Simkins of
Belleville; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Trinity
Episcopal Church, Daughters of the King, PEO and Daughters of
the American Revolution.
Memorials may be made to her church or to Family Hospice.
