[DEC. 10, 2005]  SPRINGFIELD -- Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich signed the following bills into law on Dec. 5:

House Bill 692

Concerning: Motor fuel theft

Description: Creates the offense of theft of motor fuel that is distinct from other forms of retail theft. Provides penalties for the offense.

Action: Approved

Effective: June 1, 2006

Concerning: Criminal law

Description: Increases penalties for the offense of aggravated use of a fraudulent identification card.

Action: Approved

House Bill 1716

Concerning: Veterans

Description: Allows state homes for veterans to hire a nurse who has a license application pending with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.

Concerning: Criminal law

Description: Provides a definition of the term "mental disorder" in the Sexually Dangerous Persons Act.
