The victory was Illinois' 16th
Big Ten win in a row, good for second place on their own all-time
list. Only the 1914-1916 team had a longer one, with 17.
The win was also the Illini's ninth in
a row on the road, their longest streak ever.
As Illinois moves to 20-0, this
season marks the sixth straight year the Illini have amassed 20
wins.
They have also won 20 games in eight
out of the last nine years, and this season marks the 24th time
all-time that Illinois has had a 20-win campaign.
Illinois' 20-0 record is the best
start in league play since the 1975-76 Indiana Hoosiers.
If my stats are correct, that makes
Illinois 34-2 in its last 36 ballgames.
This Saturday the Illini will
celebrate 100 years of Illinois basketball and take on a very good
Minnesota team.
