Looking for something special to do on Valentine's Day? How about an
evening of dancing and a silent auction to buy your sweetheart something
nice? The Lincoln branch of Catholic Charities is having its third annual
Silent Auction and Dance on Feb.12 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in
Lincoln. The fun starts at 7 p.m. and goes until 10:30 p.m. Music provided
by Illinois Brass Works, cash bar and hors d'oeuvres will be served. Items
to be auctioned: men's and woman's Seiko watches, signed Brian Cook
basketball, hot-air balloon ride and two tickets to MaMa Mia with hotel
stay. Plus much, much more. Tickets are available at Lincoln Land
Communications, Catholic Charities office, Jerry's Electric or by calling
(217) 737-0380. All proceeds go to Catholic Charities for the immediate
needs of children in our care.
