[JULY 6, 2005]  The Oasis, Logan County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County senior citizens, regardless of membership. Friends of The Oasis members receive a bimonthly newsletter by mail and reduced rates for classes and trips. For more information, call 732-6132 or 732-5844.

Social Security can help with Medicare prescription costs. Find out if you are eligible. Attend the workshop at The Oasis senior center on Monday from 10 a.m. till noon. No reservations necessary.

Tuesday lunch

The 11:30 a.m. lunch for July 12 will feature Texas casserole, tossed salad, dessert and a drink for only $3.75, or $3.25 if you stay and play cards. Ticket purchase deadline is noon Monday.

New activity at the senior center

Come join the fun. Every Wednesday we will be playing a variety of board games. The activity begins at 1 p.m.

Card winners announced

Pauline Boward and Tom Garrison were weekday pinochle winners. Irene Tumilty and Marjorie Reiners were weekend pinochle winners. The five-in-one winners were Henry Warnisher and Betty Burger. Ella Lee Graney was the bunko winner for the month.
