[JUNE 30, 2005]  NORMAL -- Redbird soccer camps are right around the corner, but there is still space available. Both the Elite Girls Soccer Academy (July 20-24) and the Striker and Keeper Camp (July 24-26) have openings for serious soccer campers.

The first of the two, the Elite Girls Soccer Academy, seeks to attract and challenge the best female soccer players from throughout the region and the nation. The camp staff will provide campers with advanced training and progressive instruction in their technique and overall soccer game. The camp, being held at both Illinois State and Illinois Wesleyan facilities, costs $425 for overnight campers and $350 for commuting campers.

The 2005 Striker and Keeper Camp is geared toward serious female soccer players who want to develop their abilities to either score goals or stop shots. Shooting techniques, heading and small-sided match situations will be part of every session. The cost for the Striker and Keeper Camp is $160, or $140 for those registering in conjunction with Elite Girls Soccer Academy.
