The Oasis, Logan
County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open
weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center also
is open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is
the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County
senior citizens, regardless of membership.
Friends of The Oasis members receive a
bimonthly newsletter by mail and reduced rates for classes and

Oasis
potluck and bingo
Come join us at 11:30 p.m. Thursday
for the monthly potluck lunch, featuring corned beef and cabbage,
salads, special dishes, and desserts. Seniors are invited to bring a
dish to pass or a $3 donation.
The Oasis will sponsor the weekly
bingo games that will begin at 1 p.m. Bring a friend and come enjoy
an afternoon of fun and surprises.
Senior dance
It's time to get out your dancing
shoes! Come join us for dancing, laughs, fun and wonderful memories
Saturday evening from 7 to 9 at the Lincoln Community High School
cafeteria. Students in the culinary arts department will make
special refreshments for everyone, and the jazz band will play all
our favorite songs. This year the National Honor Society is hosting
the senior dance, with the assistance of student government. Call
the senior center at 732-6132 to make reservations.

Tuesday
lunch
The 11:30 a.m. lunch on March 15
will feature Swiss steak, mashed potatoes, salad, bread and butter,
dessert, and a drink for only $3.75, or $3.25 if you stay and play.
Ticket purchase deadline is noon Monday.
Card
winners announced
Christine March, Larry Van Bibber
and Linda Hughes were weekday winners for pinochle. Weekend pinochle
winners were Linda Hughes, Ella Lee Graney, Joann Eckert and
Marjorie Reiners.
