NORMAL -- The College Sports Information
Directors of America named the 2004 Illinois State football game
program as the best in Division I-AA on Monday, finishing ahead of
second-place Delaware and third-place Harvard.

This is the second year in a row that CoSIDA has named the football
game program as "Best in the Nation." The 2003 version also finished
first, ahead of second-place Liberty and third-place Youngstown
State. Illinois State media relations graduate assistants Aaron
Johnston, Mike Krizman and Lyndsey Stevenson all received
recognition by CoSIDA for their work on the program.
"Even though the Illinois State athletics media relations
department has won many publication honors over the years, this is
only the second time the office has won consecutive first-place
honors," said Todd Kober, assistant athletics director for media
relations. "Like in anything, it is difficult to repeat, and this is
truly a testament to the amount of pride, passion and dedication
that Aaron, Mike and Lyndsey have brought to their graduate
assistantship and to this office."

The contest rankings were decided upon by three judges,
coordinated by Tim Stried of Ohio State. Illinois State earned
scores of 291, 279 and 268 out of a possible 300 points awarded by
each judge. Criteria for grading included team information, change
pages, feature material, graphics and design, and editorial content.
In addition to the first-place finishes in football, Illinois
State's publications have earned other high marks from CoSIDA,
with15 top-three finishes in the last 10 years, including
back-to-back honors for the 1999-2000 and 2000-01 men's basketball
game programs.
