The Oasis, Logan
County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open
weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center also
is open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is
the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County
senior citizens, regardless of membership.
Friends of The Oasis members receive a
bimonthly newsletter by mail and reduced rates for classes and

Oasis potluck and bingo
Join us at 11:30 p.m. Thursday for the monthly potluck lunch,
featuring chicken and noodles and strawberry shortcake. Salads, side
dishes and desserts will also be available. Bring a dish to pass or
come in for the Mother's Day special: $1 donation. Stay for bingo
games sponsored by the senior center, the lunch drawing and other
surprises. Come join the fun and bring a friend!
May birthday party
Birthday time! On Monday at 1:30 p.m. it's time to celebrate your
May birthday with us. There will be games, prizes, entertainment,
and cake and ice cream. Come join the fun and bring a guest.

Tuesday lunch
The 11:30 a.m. lunch for May 17 will feature pork barbecue
sandwiches, green beans, tater tots, dessert and a drink for only
$3.75. If you stay and play cards, the cost is $3.25. Ticket
purchase deadline is noon Monday.
Card winners announced
Dan Davis and Lucky Eichner were weekday winners for pinochle.
Weekend pinochle winners were Linda Hughes and Nancy Embrey.
