The Oasis, Logan County's senior citizen
center, at 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open weekdays, except
holidays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center also is open on Friday
and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is the executive
director. Activities are open to all Logan County senior citizens,
regardless of membership. Friends of The Oasis members receive a
bimonthly newsletter by mail and reduced rates for classes and

Light lunch bingo
At noon Thursday, Maple Ridge Care Centre will sponsor a light
lunch, consisting of sandwiches and treats, at The Oasis. Bingo will
follow at 1 p.m. Bring a friend, come join the fun and win a prize!
Meeters and Greeters
The Meeters and Greeters group will meet Monday at 2 p.m. This
group of volunteers visits once a month with those who cannot get
out to add a bright spot in their life. Call 732-6132 if you are
interested in volunteering or if you know of someone who needs a
little sunshine.
VA rep to visit Oasis
A Veterans Administration representative will be available from 9
a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the senior center. No appointment is
necessary. Service is on a first-come, first served basis. The VA
rep will not be here Nov. 22.

Tuesday's lunch
The 11:30 a.m. lunch for Tuesday will feature meatloaf, baked
potato, mixed vegetables, bread and butter, dessert, and a drink for
only $3.75, or $3.25 if you stay and play cards. Ticket deadline is
Monday.
Winners for the week announced
Henry Warnisher was weekday pinochle winner. The senior center
was not available for weekend card playing.
