[NOV.
8, 2005] The Central Illinois Economic Development Corp.
has been going through several transitions after the passing of Jane
Poertner, longtime executive director, in March of this year. The
latest official announcement is that Beth Fleshman, who has been
serving as interim deputy director since May, has officially been
named deputy director.
In Fleshman's new role, she will be overseeing the Head Start Health
Services and Nutrition program; the central kitchen, which produces
over 6,000 meals each month; and other administrative tasks for the
agency.
"I'm very pleased that Beth Fleshman is going to continue
her career at CIEDC as deputy director," said Angela Stoltzenburg,
executive director. "I look forward to working with her to take
CIEDC successfully into the future."
CIEDC, a Community Action agency, is a nonprofit organization
that serves a six-county area: Fulton, Mason, Menard, Logan, DeWitt
and Piatt. CIEDC uses federal and state funding along with donations
to provide services to the elderly, disabled and low-income
individuals.
