[DEC. 9, 2006]  Recalls.org reported the following recalls Dec. 3-7:

Door locks pose entrapment hazard

Stanley Security Solutions Inc. is recalling keyed 5K series door handle locks sold nationwide from November 2005 to September 2006. The locks can fail and the door cannot be unlocked from the inside, posing an entrapment hazard.

The recalled units include the 5K light-medium-duty lever series door handle locks. These sets have a brass or stainless steel finish with the word "BEST" embossed below the keyhole on the elongated handle.

Consumers should contact Stanley Security Solutions at 800-479-9087 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Central time Monday through Friday to schedule an appointment to have the locks replaced free of charge. Consumers can also visit www.stanleysecurity.com. More information is available at www.recalls.org.

Furniture contains lead

The Land of Nod is recalling antique white furniture from the Cottage Collection sold nationwide from September 2003 to August 2006. Some of the recalled furniture contains paint with high levels of lead

Air rifles pose injury hazard

Gamo USA Corp. is recalling Gamo air rifles sold nationwide from June to September 2006. The scope mount on these rifles can be installed incorrectly, causing the rifle to unexpectedly fire. This poses a serious injury hazard to consumers.

The recalled air rifles are the following Gamo models: Hunter Pro, Hunter Sport, Shadow Sport and F1200. These models bear the serial numbers 04-IC-415577-06 through 04-IC-579918-06. The model and serial numbers can be found on the left side of the barrel, just above the front left side of the stock.

Consumers should contact Gamo at 877-246-3831 anytime to receive instructions for returning the rifles and receiving a free repair. Consumers can also visit www.gamousa.com. More information is available at www.recalls.org.

Children's necklaces contain lead

Really Useful Products Inc. of Darien is recalling children's mood necklaces and diva necklaces sold nationwide from September 2004 to November 2006. The recalled jewelry contains high levels of lead.

The recalled mood necklaces are packaged in black cardboard wrapped in plastic, with "Mood Necklace" printed on the front and "Item # JW41001" and "UPC number 898846410011" printed on a sticker on the back. The recalled diva necklaces are packaged in pink cardboard with "Hand Painted" and "Diva Necklace" printed on the front and "Item # 21800020" and "UPC number 898846200186" printed on the back.

Consumers should return the recalled jewelry to the store where purchased for a full refund or contact Really Useful Products at 888-484-3444 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Central time Monday through Friday for information on how to receive a full refund.
