Wayne Luckhart

[DEC. 27, 2006]  Wayne Luckhart, 86, of Lincoln died at the Christian Village at 5:04 p.m. on Dec. 19, 2006.

A memorial service will be held for Mr. Luckhart at a later day. Tim Searby will preside.

There will be a private graveside held at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Lincoln. Arrangements by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.

He was born to Rupert and Emma Bohn Luckhart on Aug. 21, 1920 in Cornland. He married Dorothy Aeilts on Sept. 21, 1941 in St. Charles, MO.


Mr. Luckhart retired as a maintenance supervisor at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital after 38 years. He was also a retired farmer.

He is survived by two sons, Rod W. (Catherine) Luckhart of Naperville and Rick Luckhart of Springfield; one brother, Perry Luckhart of Lincoln; three sisters, Roberta Whiteside, Octavia (Fred) Augspurger, both of Lincoln, Sharon (Gary) Rohlfs of Lincoln and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Leeland, Wally and Dallas Luckhart and one sister, Hilda Matlock.

He was a member of Lincoln Christian Church, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge #2708 and Tri-Police Association.

Memorials may be made to Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, American Red Cross, Alzheimers Disease Research or Parkinson’s Foundation.
