\Mrs. Ruby M. Jackson

[DEC. 26, 2006]  LINCOLN -- Mrs. Ruby M. Jackson, 78, of Lincoln passed away on Saturday, Dec. 23 at 11:35 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Graveside Services for Mrs. Jackson will be held on Thursday, Dec. 28, at 11:30 a.m. at the Zion Cemetery in Lincoln.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Mrs. Jackson is survived by one son: Guy Eugene (Linda) Jackson of Lincoln, one daughter, Patricia M. Jenkins of St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers: Orville Jackson of Alabama, George Jackson of Florida; two sisters, Betty Miller of Missouri and Shirley Cochran of Arizona; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by one sister, Marie Welchel.

Mrs. Jackson was born on Oct. 18, 1928, the daughter of Orville Henry and Pearl Sapp Jackson. She married Guy Allen Jackson on Ap. 3, 1946 in Decatur. He preceded her in death on June 19, 2005.

Mrs. Jackson was a cook at The Mill for ten years and later worked at Bob’s Variety Shop in Lincoln.

Memorials may be made to the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Post # 1756 in Lincoln.
