Armed forces picture set for evening

[JULY 29, 2006]  The 70th annual Logan County Fair opens Tuesday at 9 a.m. The fair kicks off with the traditional ribbon-cut at the main gate to the west, with 2005 Fair Queen Christina Xamis cutting the ribbon.

All military are invited to attend this day, with free gate admission being offered to all who have served or are currently serving in our nation’s armed forces.

In the evening all of the armed forces veterans are asked to assemble in front of the grandstand for a group photo.

The Logan County Interveterans Council will provide the color guard for the opening ceremonies, which will be followed by the queen pageant.

This is the fifth year for the group photograph. Many veterans have commented that it is a very prized possession.

Mark your calendar and plan to spend Tuesday at the Logan County Fair.
