One of the highlights of the
National Christian College Athletic Association volleyball
tournament being hosted by Lincoln Christian College and Seminary is
the Christian service project, which is carried out by the members
of the top 10 teams in the nation. This year's projects were done
Wednesday at Lincoln Christian Church's preschool, the Genesis House
New Beginnings store and Christian Nursing Home.
|
Team members participated at the preschool by interacting with 4-
and 5-year-olds, making crafts, doing face paintings, reading
stories and group singing. At the New Beginnings store the
student-athletes sorted and marked clothing for resale.
Duties at the Christian Nursing Home included filling water
pitchers with ice, assisting in the laundry room, interacting with
the residents and helping with the home's activity program.

The participating young ladies enjoyed being able to put into
practice the things they are learning at their respective schools.
Tournament play opens Thursday (today). [See
