The committee is still looking to secure a carnival for the
celebration. Information was located for a Vietnam Wall display to
rent for the weekend. The celebration will not include helicopter
rides, due to scheduling conflicts. An alternative of using hot-air
balloons was discussed. The committee will be raffling off a 2007
Pontiac G6 from Graue Chevrolet in Lincoln. Second prize will be a
large-screen TV, and third prize is a collection of Middletown
historical items. Tickets were sold at the Lincoln Wal-Mart on Nov.
4 and will also be available at the Nov. 12 brunch at the
Presbyterian church. Each ticket is $20.
The next committee meeting will be Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. at the
Middletown Village Hall.
