On Friday, Zion Lutheran School in Lincoln had
a Veterans Day assembly. The event included pledges to the flags,
national anthem played by the school band, singing of patriotic
songs, recognition of veterans, a Veterans Day poem led by the
eighth-graders and a flag presentation by Wayne Schrader and Bob
Sullivan. A highlight of the occasion was when the veterans told
their personal stories about their military service.
Pictured is the Rev. Arthur Goldberger, who served in the U.S.
Air Force from 1943 to 1946.
